You can never go wrong with spicy grilled shrimp. I love the flavors in these recipe. The creaminess of the avocado combined with the spicy shrimp and fried garlic is a killer combo. Next time you heat up the grill, make sure you make a batch of these for sharing with your guests.

Spicy Shrimp & Avocado Crostini
Ingredients:
- 4 medium sized shrimp
- A dash of cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 ripe avocado
- ½ lime
- 1/2 teaspoon chopped chives
- 1 clove of garlic thinly sliced
- ¼ teaspoon chopped chili
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Preparation:
Pit and peel the avocado. Squeeze lime juice, add a pinch of salt and pepper and mash all together with a fork. Once combined, add chopped chives. Mix and set aside.
Toss shrimp in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil, cayenne pepper, paprika and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Heat a grill pan to high heat. Once hot, add marinated shrimp and cook until the shrimp starts to turn pink, about 1-2 minutes per side.
Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to a grill pan on medium high heat. Add sliced garlic and fry on both sides until golden. Remove of the heat and put them on paper towel so it absorbs the extra oil. Do not discard the oil left in the pan. In the same pan add the bread slices and grill on both sides Once golden all over, remove from the heat.
Assembly
Add one tablespoon of the avocado mixture to the bread slices and top with grilled shrimp. Finalize with chopped chives, a little chopped chili, a small squeeze of lemon juice and a drizzle of olive oil. Top with a garlic chip.
Serve warm or room temperature.
